Caring for your huggie earrings

Huggie earrings are also known as hinged hoop earrings and are a great jewelry option when it comes to comfort. There is no backing involved and they are very easy to put on. Here you will find a brief explanation on how to care your huggie earrings for you, your baby or children.
Huggie earrings consist of two notches which must meet when you close the earrings. When this happen you will hear a “click” meaning the earrings were closed correctly. If they don’t easily close is because over time the post tends to slightly move downward, upward, or to one side normally caused by the constantly use of the earrings. The solution is pretty simple and is to bend the post very slightly and carefully to the right position. For this you will need a small needle-nose plier or you can use your own fingers. If using pliers make sure that the inner surface is smooth to avoid scratching the post when you grip it. Gently bend the post so that it can meet with the notch on the opposite side of the earring. If you hear the “click” you have fixed the problem and will be able to safety use your huggie earrings again. If they don’t click together please repeat the procedure carefully.
